These editions are entirely dedicated to the extraordinary personality of the legendary ruler Genghis Khan. He is depicted enthroned and powerful, executed in meticulous detail. His posture, the carefully reproduced folds of his robes and the rich ornamentation of the throne testify to the highest precision in modern high relief.

The motif has a special historical model: the monumental statue of Genghis Khan on which this motif is based measures an impressive 700 × 630 × 750 cm. It depicts Genghis Khan in his youth in 1189, at the beginning of the rise of the great Mongol Empire, and is completely clad in Mongolian gold. The imperial throne bears the golden seal of the empire and rests on a multi-part pedestal of marble, bronze and gold, the design of which is inspired by the sacred mountain Burkan-Khaldun. The three-part base symbolizes the past, present and future. The depiction is complemented by a tiger skin – a symbol of victory – and a white felt carpet representing the enduring power of the state. This extraordinary work of art was ceremonially unveiled on March 1, 2025.

The background of the coin features radiant sunbeams, symbolizing both power and enlightenment. The surrounding landscape enhances the awe-inspiring motif by depicting the mountains and plains that once made up Genghis Khan’s empire. The obverse depicts a majestic eagle – the classic hunting animal in Mongolian culture. In Mongolia, the eagle symbolizes strength, courage, freedom and cultural heritage. Particularly in western Mongolia, this meaning is embodied in the centuries-old tradition of eagle trapping and hunting with golden eagles – a bond between man and animal based on respect, symbiosis and a deep spiritual relationship with nature.

The coin combines this iconic image with a vast landscape of the Mongolian steppe, which appears in fine relief in the background and anchors the animal in its natural environment. A particular highlight is the radially arranged guilloché pattern that harmoniously surrounds the coat of arms of the Central Bank of Mongolia. A finely polished surface finish creates an impressive luster: the sun's rays seem to break out from the center, giving the scene an almost sacred radiance.
