The Inquisition / Human Mistakes coin is minted in 2 oz pure silver with an antique finish and an impressive 3D inlay that gives a realistic and detailed effect. The edition is very limited with only 300 pieces, making it an exclusive collector's item.
The reverse of the coin depicts a brutal historical scene from the Inquisition: a man is being tortured by "breaking on the wheel" over a fireplace, surrounded by various torture instruments such as a mallet and hammer. In the background, women are shown being burned for their dissenting views. The figure of inquisitors, representatives of the Catholic Church's judicial institution from the 13th to the 19th centuries, is visible in both the foreground and background. UV printing creates a burning foreground and 3D technology highlights details such as the mallet.
The obverse shows the issuer's emblem under a lacquer seal as well as a fragmentary medieval engraving adorning the surface of the coin.
The coin is delivered in an elegant box along with a certificate that guarantees its authenticity.
