Hidden underground, suspended among tree branches, carved from wood, or built from thousands of precisely arranged cells, nests are more than just shelter. They are living kingdoms – worlds governed by instinct, hierarchy, cooperation, and an ancient struggle for survival.
Each issue in the series reveals a new kingdom and its ruler, where the beauty of nature meets the symbolism of power, order, and continuity. Through sculptural reliefs, intricate details, and three-dimensional elements, Rulers of the Nests brings these miniature kingdoms to life.
The series begins with one of nature’s most remarkable civilisations – The Queen Bee. She does not rule through violence. Her power is life itself. Surrounded by her colony and protected within the geometric architecture of the honeycomb, the queen bee symbolises fertility, continuity, and the astonishing order of the beehive.
The BEE coin captures this hidden world as a miniature kingdom. The intricate structure of the honeycomb meets the sculptural form of the bee, creating a composition where nature, geometry, and symbolism become one.
