The fifth edition in the series is dedicated to envy – a silent and often hidden deadly sin that takes root deep in the heart. Envy arises when one's gaze is not directed at one's own life, but at what others have or can do.
The coin captures this dynamic: a powerful bear stares at an eagle circling above. The eagle embodies freedom, vision, and superiority – qualities that the bear lacks and that can arouse desire and resentment. The juxtaposition of the two animals symbolizes the nature of envy: the longing for something one does not possess and perhaps can never attain.
